What we will offer you today are classic shortbread cookies with walnuts, which will only enhance and improve the taste. But before proceeding directly to the recipe, we will certainly say a few words about the history and intricacies of cooking.

    History of the dish

    It is believed that the British and Scots were the first to make such cookies, and this happened around the 12th century. And they cooked it simply from the remnants of bread dough, to which sugar was added. Such cookies, of course, were too dry and at first looked more like crackers. Later they came up with the idea of ​​adding butter to the dough, and then it began to turn out soft and crumbly. In the classic version, the recipe for shortbread cookies looks like this: 2 parts butter, 3 parts flour and 1 part sugar. The main feature of the dough is that all its components are simply ground into crumbs, and then kneaded into an elastic dough. This is how we will prepare the dough in our walnut walnut cookies. And we will start doing this right now.

    Ingredients:

    Dough:

    • Flour -300 g
    • Sour cream - 4 tablespoons
    • Butter - 50 g
    • Egg - 1 pc.
    • Sugar - 0.5 tbsp.
    • Baking powder - 1 tsp
    • Salt - a pinch

    Filling:

    • Peeled walnuts - 1 tbsp.
    • Sugar - 3 tablespoons
    • Butter - 30 g

    Preparation:

    14. Put the biscuits on a baking sheet covered with parchment and send them to an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 20 minutes.
