But when buying this product, we often pay attention to the quality and colorfulness of the packaging, but very rarely read the composition. And it would be worth it, because the composition of the product indicated on the package will tell everything about its contents. Unfortunately, this delicious favorite and most common fast food is very harmful to the body, because the composition of the chips includes components such as monosodium glutamate, fats, flavors, stabilizers, powders that give the chips certain flavors.

Cheaper chips generally use potato powder, which is made up of starch and flour. But what to do if the desire to crunch deliciously often outweighs concern for your health? There is a way out - just cook the chips at home, and thin Armenian lavash and our step-by-step photos of cooking a delicious Chips dish will help you with this.

    History of chips

Chips chips translated into English means "thin piece". The history of this dish is very interesting and very old. In the middle of the 19th century, a railroad magnate came to a large and rich restaurant in a resort town in the south of the United States, placed an order, and, having received his dish, criticized the chef for the fact that the potatoes served to him were too thick. The cook did not lose his head and, as if in jest, cut the potatoes so thin that they shone through, fried them in boiling oil and served them to a fastidious client.

To the surprise of the restaurant staff, the client was satisfied with the dish, and thinly sliced and fried potatoes have become a signature dish here. Which, however, did not last long, as the simple recipe for the dish quickly scattered among the visitors and soon fried potatoes were already being sold on every corner in the city. By the end of the 19th century, chips were already being produced in factories, they were packed in special wax paper bags with a factory stamp.
