Hello everyone, dear readers. What would you say if today we offer you a recipe for beef liver liver cake. Take my word for it, even those who do not like liver in principle will be fascinated by such an appetizer. Liver cake, contrary to some opinions, is not a relic of the past, but a great way to get the most out of a product that not everyone likes and tastes. A liver cake with carrots, a liver cake with onions, and sometimes also with various additives in the form of truffle flour or chili flakes - this is not only not a trivial, but even an exquisite creation. But we'll talk about the recipe itself later, but for now a little history.
If we talk about cakes, they appeared according to historical data about 2000 years ago and presumably in Italy. The name itself also comes from an Italian consonant word, which in exact translation means “florid”, “intricate”, richly decorated. True, this is not the only version. Many historians insist that the cake comes from Greece, and there are those who attribute the creation of cakes to Eastern peoples. But it is not so important where the cakes appeared, how important is who made them what they are. And this, of course, is the merit of the French.
In Eastern Europe, for many years, loaves and pies were an alternative to cakes, and in England, pyramids of buns and cakes were offered as a cake for a long time. Then in London they began to prepare multi-tiered cakes, in the USA mono cakes, which included one main ingredient, for example, cottage cheese, from which wonderful cheesecakes were obtained. Also, cakes began to come into fashion, which resembled a cake only in lush and rich external decoration.
These include a sandwich cake from Denmark, an Italian cheese cake or "Tiramisu" in the common people, and, of course, our today's hero is a classic liver cake, a liver cake with carrots and onions and other interpretations of it, invented in the countries of the former USSR. In those days, such a cake could be found in almost every public catering of our then immense relatives. Cooking it was very simple and not expensive, which is important. It is such a beef liver cake with carrots that we will cook today and start right now.
