When we talk about this dish, we immediately remember that salad from German traditional cuisine - the classic potato salad. Today we will recall a peculiar interpretation with eggs. But before we move on to cooking, let's remember a little about the history.

    History of the dish

    Potato salad with chicken, pickles or German potato salad and its classic recipe is a purely European dish. True, most often it is still prepared in the already mentioned Germany or the Czech Republic with Austria. Further, its distribution is observed throughout the world with the addition of specific products and ingredients from spices to various vegetables and meat. Serve such a salad in the vast majority of cases as a cold appetizer or side dish.

    Another important detail - for such a salad, jacket potatoes are always used. And most importantly, potato salad is a traditional Christmas and New Year dish. That is why everyone has their own potato salad and its classic recipe, but it is important that it be - there is no way without it. Whoever does not cook must learn, and this is what we will do now. So, here is our potato salad and its recipe with a photo.

    Ingredients:

    • Potatoes - 4 pcs.
    • Eggs - 4 pcs.
    • Onion - 1 pc.
    • Pickled cucumbers - 2-3 pcs.
    • Mayonnaise - 4 tbsp. l.
    • Salt - to taste
    • Ground black pepper - to taste

    Cooking

    1. In order to prepare a classic potato salad recipe, we need the following ingredients.

      To begin with, look at the photo where the products are offered in potato salad. You need to prepare the same set.

    2. Boil the potatoes in their skins until tender.
