True, there is one subtlety in their preparation, which makes yeast cakes with cheese different - they are cooked in a pan with the addition of vegetable oil.     History of the dish

    A flat cake is traditionally considered to be a round and flat product made from dough, which is usually cooked in Central Asia. True, today such products can also be found in the culinary books of the Mediterranean and Latin America, but there will be different names: arepas, chachangas, tortillas, pita and others. I would like to separately note the fact that the names are almost everywhere different and the taste is not the same.

    But all these products have something in common - they are made from dough, and spices and additives are a secondary matter, like the type of dough itself. It is important to remember one thing - a flat cake is always the basis for a dish and rarely the dish itself. And now let's take a closer look at what we have prepared today and together we'll see what kind of cake with cheese made from yeast dough will turn out not in the oven, but in a pan.

    Ingredients:

    • Milk - 150 ml.
    • Sugar - 1 tsp
    • Salt - 1 tsp
    • Flour - 250 g
    • Hard cheese - 200 g
    • Vegetable oil - for frying
    • Dry yeast - 1 tsp

    Preparation:

    1. Prepare the ingredients.

      We will prepare the necessary products.

    2. Add sugar, dry yeast to warm milk and stir. Leave for 20 minutes in a warm place to activate the yeast.

      For the dough, mix warm milk with sugar and yeast and leave to react for 20 minutes.

    3. Add sifted flour, salt.

    4. Knead a soft dough. Leave in a warm place for 30-40 minutes in a warm place.
