    I also have such a notebook, I often use a recipe for homemade crispy waffles in a waffle iron based on condensed milk from it. It is worth noting that a sufficient amount of waffles requires a small amount of products.     History of the dish

    We will prepare our homemade waffles using a special device - an electric waffle iron. It is believed that waffles were invented a very long time ago. True, today few people can say for sure who exactly invented waffles. It is believed that a similar product was invented in Europe, or to be more precise, in Germany or Holland. Moreover, they began to make waffles back in the 13th century and they were intended only for the rich, ordinary people could not afford such a delicacy.

    The waffle iron became popular and affordable only in the 17th century (1869). A certain inventor Cornelius Swarthout proposes to bake waffles in a special frying pan, which consists of two forms that were connected by a handle. Today, you probably won’t surprise anyone with a modern electric waffle iron that runs on electricity. Baking waffles with such a device has become a simple and quick process to the delight of hostesses.


    • Condensed milk - 50 g;
    • Raw chicken egg - 1 pc.;
    • Kefir - 100 ml;
    • Sifted flour (wheat) - 100 g;
    • Salt - a pinch;
    • Lean oil - 30 ml.

    Step by step preparation:

    1. For homemade waffles, we prepare the required products according to the list. Kefir should be at room temperature.

      We prepare the ingredients.

    2. Drive a chicken egg into a working bowl. We supplement the product with the declared portion of sweet condensed milk.

      We combine condensed milk with a chicken egg.

    3. With an ordinary hand whisk, or even better - with a mixer, mix the ingredients. Condensed milk, protein and yolk should eventually become a homogeneous mass.

      We beat the ingredients.

    4. Pour into the resulting mass a fermented milk product - kefir. Mix again.

      Add kefir.

    5. Sift the flour into the kefir-egg mixture. We supplement the composition of the products with a pinch of salt.

      Add flour and salt.

    6. Mix well. There should be no lumps in the dough.

      Mix the ingredients.

    7. Pour vegetable oil into the dough, which we turned out to be similar to dough for pancakes. Mix again.

      Add butter to the dough.

    8. Now it remains only to prepare the electric waffle iron and proceed according to the instructions for making waffles. We put a couple of soup spoons of dough into the mold, cook the waffles for about 2-2.5 minutes. And now the promised culinary life-hack: to make the waffles crispy, when removing them from the mold, do not stack the products on top of each other, but cool them separately.
