After cooking, it is customary to dry them without fail. All candied fruits are conditionally divided into: candied fruits and candied fruits from vegetables. As you probably guessed, any candied carrots and all their recipes should undoubtedly be attributed to the second group.
They are mainly prepared in order to be added later to the dough or used as a decoration for confectionery and not only. So, for example, a recipe for homemade candied carrots will help to perfectly decorate any main dish or salad. Let's prepare the necessary products.
Cut the peeled carrots into circles about 0.7 cm thick.
Mix sugar and water in a saucepan and place it on the fire.
As soon as the syrup boils and the sugar dissolves, add star anise and cloves.
It's time to add carrots, bring to a boil and cook for about 10 minutes.
Candied carrots should be dried in the oven in the lower heating mode for at least 6 hours at a temperature of about 100 degrees. Put something in the oven door so that it does not close tightly.
When ready, such candied fruits, the recipe of which we offered you with a photo, can be dusted with powdered sugar and starch and used as needed: at least for tea, at least for decoration.
